The association celebrated it's 20th Anniversary in early November 2007. Since 1987 the repeater has operated with near flawless reliability and it was a great opportunity for all past and present members to get together.

Coming events schedule

For many years the community of Gaffneys Creek has been without UHF radio coverage mostly due to it's geographical location. Recently the FRRR has been very gracious to grant the UGRA funds to assist us to install a second repeater in Gaffneys Creek.

This community suffered greatly during the fires of 2006 - 2007 and had no communication to the outside world at the height of the fire storm that destroyed near 90% of the buildings, many of which dated back to the gold rush period of the 1850's and 1860's.

This project has already commenced and is expected to be completed over the coming Christmas New Year period of 2007 - 2008.
